Pregnant Services Program

Pregnant Services Program

The Leaguers, Inc. Head Start/ Early Head Start program services pregnant women and their families through weekly 90 minute home visits and bi-weekly group socialization events. During socializations expecting parents have the opportunity to interact with other parents and take part in the March of Dimes, “Becoming a Parent,” pregnancy and newborn health education sessions. Our Home Visitors also assist families in securing healthcare services for both the mother and infant, as well as, childcare service after the baby is born. In addition, through our partnership with Rutgers School of Nursing, expecting mothers will have the benefit of being individually seen by a nurse.
