Mental Health/Disabilities

The Mental Health/ Disabilities service area supports families with exceptional children, ages zero to five (0-5) enrolled in our Head Start/ Early Head Start programs. We work collaboratively with the NJ Early Intervention System (NJEIS) and the local Child Study Team (CST) to ensure eligible infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children receive services in our program. In addition to supporting children’s developmental needs, mental health support for enrolled children, families, pregnant women, and staff is also available. Our mental health professionals provide counseling/play therapy, training, community referrals and consultations to help foster optimal mental health.
